Dali Record

Inspiration reveals itself in many forms—visual and auditory, historic and contemporary. Dali Record emerges from this intersection, born of art history and the timeless experience of listening to music.

In 1931, Salvador Dalí unveiled The Persistence of Memory. Its surrealism—three warped clocks draped across the canvas—changed the way we imagine time. Small in scale, vast in impact, the work continues to shape creative minds.

Music carries a similar power. I often say, “music speaks for me.” In the age of digital sound, vinyl still holds its weight. To remove a record from its sleeve, lower the needle, and feel each revolution vibrate through the room is to engage in ritual. Every groove inscribed in vinyl tells its own story, harmonizing with our emotions.

Dali Record unites art and music into a single form. Carved with curved motion and gravitational pull, the piece embodies dimensional transformation. Its etched lines speak individually yet come together in rhythm. The wood, ebonized to a deep midnight, grounds the work in permanence.

This piece is my contribution to the dialogue between art and music, an invitation to slow down and reflect on the fundamentals of life. Dali Record is meant to inspire, as Dalí and music have inspired me—and as both will continue to inspire generations to come.
